ST. HENRY — In a clash of top-three teams in Division VI volleyball, St. Henry defended its home court with a 3-1 victory over Parkway on Thursday night.
The Redskins, ranked No. 2 in the state, took control in the third set after senior middle hitter Karlee Buschur powered through with a kill that extended the lead to 12-2 and even knocked into the broadcast camera. Despite a rally attempt from Parkway’s Naomi Knapke at the net, St. Henry rolled to a 25-10 set win.
Buschur continued to dominate throughout the match, connecting again on a setup from Addy Homan to keep the momentum squarely with the Redskins.
The Panthers, ranked No. 3 in the state, fought to extend the night, but St. Henry sealed the match by winning three sets to one, strengthening its position near the top of the Division VI rankings.
