LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) — The University of Northwestern Ohio men’s basketball team closed out a doubleheader in thrilling fashion, rallying from a double-digit deficit to earn a 78–71 comeback victory on its home floor.

UNOH trailed by as many as 11 points in the first half before beginning to chip away at the lead. Antonio King sparked the run by attacking the basket and converting a tough finish, cutting the deficit to single digits.

Second-chance opportunities proved to be a major factor for the Racers. After King’s layup attempt came up short, Malachi Black was in the right place at the right time, cleaning up the miss for a putback. The senior finished the night with 10 points.

The Racers continued to capitalize on extra possessions as Caleb Chapman added a bucket inside, contributing six points on the night. Momentum continued to swing when UNOH found its rhythm from beyond the arc, highlighted by King knocking down a three-pointer to give the home crowd a lift.

King led the Racers with a team-high 14 points, while the energy inside the gym reached another level when sophomore Jyheim Spencer caught a bounce pass and threw down a two-handed dunk to punctuate the comeback.

UNOH completed the rally in the second half, pulling away late to secure the 78–71 victory.
