The hope is these kinds of upgrades mean people can stay closer to home to get treatments.

"Our community's generosity is truly exceptional, we are so thankful for our partners, our presenting partners, and all they do to bring healthcare advancements to our community," said LaShae Burwell, the director of the Lima Memorial Foundation.

"I think when you look at it, we're the only locally owned community hospital, so a lot of the community gets behind us because you know what? It's all about giving back to the community, and being the only community asset here, they know they're investing in us and every dollar they give us gets reinvested right here in Lima," added Lima Memorial Health System president & CEO, Mike Swick.
