An investigation is underway after a man was discovered dead inside his vehicle at a Lima gas station Tuesday evening.
Fire crews were dispatched at 2:55 this morning at 9611 National Road for the call of a barn fire. Upon arrival, crews found a steel hoop-style barn and hundreds of nearby hay bales fully engulfed. A total of ten departments as far away as New Bremen responded to the blaze along with Auglaize County EMA and CERT.
21-year-old I'tazia Harris sustained non-life-threatening wounds, after being struck in the leg by a bullet. Further investigation revealed several shell casings suggesting that this was possibly an ambush-style shooting, with multiple shooters. According to the Lima Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol, 28-year-old Renice Joseph of Lima lost control of his vehicle and struck the ditch, rolling over onto its left side. 6 passengers as well as the driver were all transported to Lima Memorial Hospital as emergency units from Beaverdam, Bluffton, and Bath Township all responded to the crash.

The shooting occurred as a result of an argument which erupted in front of a residence she was visiting. Four to five juvenile males approached the residence and started speaking to guests at the residence. When the conversation turned argumentative, one of the juveniles brandished a firearm and began shooting. The juvenile suspects fled but continued shooting back toward the residence. Over 20 shots were believed to be fired and at least two houses and a vehicle were struck by bullets.
On Wednesday morning, the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Bath Township Fire Department, and EMS responded to multiple vehicle accidents that shut down the interstate going northbound until 1:49 p.m. One accident involved three semis, causing two to leak fuel, and one to catch fire. A few feet behind of the semis, another two vehicles collided causing damage to both cars. One driver from the accident was taken to a hospital, his condition remains unknown.
