Aquatic Park offers holiday fun, games and swimming events ahead of Fourth of July

LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) — Families looking for a way to beat the summer heat and celebrate the Independence Day holiday will have plenty of opportunities for fun at the Lima Community Aquatic Park next week.

The aquatic park is hosting a full day of activities on Friday, July 3, featuring a variety of family-friendly events and competitions. Planned activities include family swimming relays, water gun games, penny dives and the popular belly flop contest, along with other aquatic-themed games throughout the day.

The pool will open at 9 a.m., while the outdoor water park attractions will open at 11 a.m.

Admission for a family of four is $20, with each additional family member costing $5. Daily admission rates are $7 for guests ages 13 to 59 and $5 for children ages 4 to 12 and adults 60 and older.

The facility will also be open on Independence Day, July 4, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., giving families another opportunity to enjoy the holiday weekend.

Additional special events are planned throughout July. First Responder Appreciation Days will be held July 10 and 11, and the park's Christmas in July celebration is scheduled for Saturday, July 25. The event will feature holiday-themed games and activities, as well as a visit from Santa Claus.
