MERCER COUNTY, OH (WLIO) - A two-vehicle collision west of Fort Recovery sent two adults and seven children to the hospital on Wednesday.
Just before 5 pm, 51-year-old David Garcia of Fort Recovery was driving a pick-up truck on Fox Road when deputies say he ran a stop sign at Wourms Road, striking a passenger van driven by 38-year-old David Koesters of Fort Recovery, with his wife, 35-year-old Carrie Koesters, and seven children between the ages of 10 and 15 months in the vehicle.
All ten people were transported to the hospital for their injuries, and both David and Carrie needed to be airlifted to Dayton for treatment.
The Mercer County Sheriff's Office is still investigating the crash, and the results of the investigation will be sent to the Mercer County Prosecutors Office.
