Just after 9 a.m. Thursday, the Perry Fire Department was called out to 2394 4th Street for a house fire.

Fire officials say the fire was contained to one end of the home and the rest of the house was filled with smoke. Firefighters were able to get the fire out quickly.

Everyone in the home was able to get out okay. Firefighters did rescue two dogs that were still in the home. An investigation is underway to determine the cause of the fire, but they estimate that damage to the home and its contents were valued at $33,000.

Westminster Fire Department was also called in to help out.
