A Lotta Love Pet Rescue helping fund spay/neuter project with holiday pictures

Lima, OH (WLIO) - They always say that a picture is worth a thousand words, but Sunday afternoon cute holiday pictures can help one organization with a specific mission. A Lotta Love Pet Rescue invited some four-legged friends and their owners out to get some holiday pictures taken. The furry models had their choice between a fall or winter backdrop or even get their picture taken with Santa. Besides the pictures, there were auction items that people could bid on and all the money raised goes to help spay and neuter cats. They have partnered with Humane Ohio out of Toledo, to provide a clinic 35 community cats spayed and neutered each month.

“There are so many stray cats and that is the only way we are going to cut down, is to cut down on the population, is to get them spayed and neutered that is the only answer,” says Sandy McVeigh, President, A Lotta Love Pet Rescue.  “And we thought that was a good service for the community. The fuel bill alone each month for us to pay to have them come here is $200 a month.  So this helps offset some of that.”
