One person is transported to the hospital after a two-vehicle crash in eastern Allen County this afternoon.
Troopers at the Lima Post of the State Patrol responding to the intersection of State Route 309 and Napoleon Road, just after 3:30 this afternoon. They say a Ford Taurus heading southbound on Napoleon stopped and then proceeded into the intersection, striking an eastbound Jeep and forcing it into a tree. The driver of the Jeep was transported to St. Rita's with non-life-threatening injuries.
Troopers say there was no sign of impairment and both drivers were wearing their seatbelts. The driver the Taurus was cited for failure to yield at the stop sign, and failure to obey a traffic control device since the crash happened at an intersection with restrictions during certain hours.
