It’s one of the newest medical teaching facilities in the region and the Allen Lima Leadership program is taking advantage of that.
Members of the “ALL” class spent the day learning about what all the Mercy Health Saint Rita’s Graduate Medical Education Center has to offer. They even got a peek behind the scenes as they were able to tour teaching areas, including surgical rooms equipped with high-tech patient simulators and more. “ALL” members were impressed with the facility and what it means for Lima and the region.
Jay Phillips is participating in the “ALL” class and says, “It’s an amazing technological advance that is going to bring a lot of opportunity to Lima. Just in bringing the graduate medical students and what it can offer. It’s amazing, I never thought I would see something like this in Lima when I moved here.”
Allen Lima Leadership is a program that gathers representatives of local businesses and organizations to learn what the region is all about. They meet one Friday a month for 10-months to learn about how government, non-profits, education, safety services, and other agencies work and benefit the Lima Allen County area.
