LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) — A Care-A-Van loaded with toys and essential items arrived this week to support the Allen County Children Services Adopt-a-Family program.
Employees from Woof Boom’s 92.1 The Frog delivered toys, food and cleaning supplies donated by their listeners. For nearly a decade, the radio station’s “Care-A-Van” campaign has helped fulfill the wish lists of families served through the agency’s holiday program.
Children Services is assisting about 190 children and their families this year. Thanks to contributions from Frog listeners and other supporters, local families will experience a brighter Christmas.

“You know with the power of live and local radio, have the opportunity to bring the community together, and our listeners and this community we have here are very generous, especially this time of year, and so it's so important for us to be able to give back in a way that's meaningful and impactful,” says Victoria Gonzalez, 92.1 The Frog.
“This is amazing. This is a huge help and a huge contribution to the agency. It helps lots of children in agency custody and those that continue to need help from our agency, the children within Allen County is very blessed, and we're very thankful,” says Natasha Moon, Intake and Assessment Supervisor, Allen County Children Services.
The donated items will begin going out to participating families this week.
