LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) — There's still time to donate your old books and board games for a good cause.
The American Association of University Women (AAUW) is taking donations until Aug. 21 for their annual book fair. Books, records, DVDs, and board games can be dropped off at the former Rite Aid building on the corner of Elm Street and Eastown Road. The book sale will kick off Sept. 2 and run through the 6th, with all proceeds funding college scholarships for local women.

“All summer, since June 10, we have been collecting and sorting books from the community and getting them all ready for our book fair. Once the book fair happens, all that money goes to girls for college scholarships. And we have 13 girls this year who are getting $1,500 scholarships,” said Sue Ann Shaw, co-chair of the AAUW.
The collection site is open Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 9 a.m. to noon, and Wednesday evenings from 5 to 8 p.m. Donations can be made through Aug. 21.
