LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) - Area high school students learning all about what kind of leaders they are.

The Allen Lima Leadership Youth Group meeting at St. Luke's Lutheran Church on Friday for their latest class. They get together four times a year to interact with area leaders from different backgrounds, learning skills they can take back to school or out into their communities.

Friday's session, Understanding Self & Leadership, included exercises designed to teach the kids what style of leadership they possess and the best way to use it in everyday life.

"[We hold these classes] so that they can fit in with each other and kind of know themselves and where they where they fit in in a group," said Tim Sielschott, volunteer instructor. "Is number one the leader, do you have a very good second in command, are they a great team member? Leadership comes in a lot of different ways, so knowing how they communicate, knowing how they interact and how other people interact, is a good place to kind of start."

"When I eventually go to college, I think this would be a great thing for me to take with me," said CArter Lester, a sophomore at Lima Central Catholic. "I want to go for sports, so it'd be good to be a leader on which whichever team I'm on."
