LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) - Bishop Daniel Thomas making his sixth visit to Lima Central Catholic, holding Mass before meeting with juniors and seniors for a question and answer session.

He says he hopes the visits remind students that they are part of a larger catholic community and crucial to its future. Bishop Thomas adds that the kids have some very insightful questions, asking about everything from world events to his inspiration to follow the path he chose, and that more young people are showing an interest in the Catholic faith as they seek comfort and guidance.

"I believe that it's because they see the truth - they see something solid, and they see something which otherwise they simply cannot receive," said Bishop Thomas. "I think that kind of foundation, that kind of structure for their lives, that kind of discipline, is really, in the end, what they're looking for."

Bishop Thomas says travel is also a big part of his job. He tries to make visits every two years to all the high schools in his 19-county diocese, which includes 122 parishes and covers over 8,000 square miles.
