SPENCERVILLE, Ohio (WLIO) - A car drove into a Spencerville home causing major damage and started a fire.
Around 8:30 Tuesday morning, the Spencerville Fire Department was called to the 500 block of South Pearl street when a vehicle drove off the street and into a home. The driver of the car and the occupants of the home were all able to get out safely.

The car did start a fire in the home, firefighters were able to get it under control quickly only causing minor fire damage to the ceiling and wall of the home. Structural experts were called in to assess the damage and close up the hole.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
