LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) — The first housing rehabilitation project by the Lima Community Improvement Corporation (LCIC) is now on the market. The home, located at 430 Hazel Ave., has been renovated from top to bottom as part of an effort to revitalize the neighborhood.
The LCIC, a nonprofit organization established under the Ohio Revised Code, promotes various forms of development within the city, including housing projects aimed at increasing homeownership and affordability.

“We are working to revitalize Lima’s neighborhoods with housing that’s affordable for all types of individuals and families,” said Marcie Barlow, LCIC executive director. “We want to promote homeownership within the city, and we’re trying to make these homes affordable for everyone. We’re doing rehabs as well as some infill housing.”
An open house for 430 Hazel Ave. will be held Saturday March 15 and Sunday March 16 from noon to 2 p.m. each day. In the coming weeks, LCIC’s next housing project will begin just a few doors down, where a modular unit will be placed on an empty lot. More information about LCIC’s projects can be found on its Facebook page.
