LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) - Your Hometown Stations welcomed the City of Lima's GenNext Maker Camp participants on Tuesday afternoon.
The camp is a way to introduce students to the world of STEM, and on Tuesday, they saw behind the scenes in the studio and got a chance to figure out the green screen and sit at the anchor desk. Their smiles and enthusiasm lasted all afternoon.

"I really liked the computers and how everything worked, and how the news and weather works, and I think it's all very interesting," said Mayo Awe, a 7th grader at Elida.
"We got to see what behind the green screen looks like, and what the actual news looks like, and the cameras," said Annicia Alvarez, a 6th grader at Elida.
The camp continues with a visit to the Lima Central Fire Station on Wednesday a hands-on soil science testing demo on Thursday.
