LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) – The new Lima Community Aquatic Park will offer more than recreational swimming, with a variety of year-round programs planned for the community.

The $11.6 million facility will feature swim lessons, lifeguard training, aquatic fitness classes and swim camps. It is managed by The Sports Facilities Companies, which will oversee programming and operations.

Lima Community Aquatic Park to Offer Year-Round Swim Programs

“We still wanted to get open while the summer is still here and it’s warm enough,” said Ken Cobb, vice president of The Sports Facilities Companies. “It helps us, from a company’s point of view, to work out our operational issues, getting started with a brand-new facility. But to be able to introduce it to the community too is just fantastic.”

The aquatic park was built debt-free through American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds from the City of Lima, along with contributions from Lima City Schools and the state of Ohio.

Daily admission is $5 for children ages 2 to 12 along with veterans and seniors, $7 for adults ages 13 to 59, and $20 for families of four. Membership options are also available. More information can be found on the Lima Aquatic Park website.
