LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) — A Lima man is being held on a murder charge in connection with a fatal shooting during a family gathering Friday evening.
Damien Durr, 22, was booked into the Allen County Jail late Saturday night for the death of Damariante Dillingham, 30. Lima police officers responded to the 800 block of State Street shortly after 7:30 p.m. on Friday, following reports of gunfire. Dillingham was transported to the hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
After speaking with witnesses, detectives obtained a warrant for Durr's arrest. He was taken into custody Saturday afternoon at a home on Flanders Avenue. He is being held on a $1 million bond and is expected to be arraigned on the charge in the coming days.
