LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) - An Allen County jury has found a Lima man guilty in the fatal stabbing of a man earlier this year.
Marcus Tyson, 45, was convicted of murder, felonious assault and tampering with evidence in the April 18 death of Anthony Townsend. Prosecutors said the stabbing happened after Tyson arrived at Townsend’s home to cut the grass, and the two men got into an argument.
Townsend was taken to a hospital, where he died from his injuries. Tyson fled the scene and was arrested later that day in Indiana. He claimed the stabbing was an act of self-defense.
Tyson is scheduled to be sentenced on December 22.
