BATH — Bath opened the Brent Farley era with a 43-33 win over Bryan, earning a spot in Saturday’s Kewpee Tip-Off Classic championship game.
The Wildkittens jumped out to a 10-1 lead in the first quarter after an Addy Rex three forced a Bryan timeout. Moments later, Izzy McDermott set up Allyson Harnishfeger for a jumper that pushed Bath’s lead to eight.
In the second quarter, senior Sophie Jackson used a smooth step-through move and friendly roll to send Bath into halftime ahead 28-20.
Harnishfeger added to the lead in the second half with a back-to-the-basket finish off the glass, stretching the margin to double digits. Rex later connected from deep in the fourth quarter to help Bath maintain control.
Bath’s 43-33 victory sends the Wildkittens to Saturday’s championship matchup with Marion Local at 1:30 p.m.
