LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) — Spring is just around the corner, and if you have questions about getting started on home improvement projects at your house, the Lima Noon Optimist Club may be able to help.
Starting the evening March 13, the club will host its 76th annual Home Show at the Allen County Fairgrounds. Visitors will have the opportunity to speak with home improvement vendors about renovation ideas. The event will also feature local crafters and home-based businesses showcasing their products and services.
In addition to the vendors, the show will offer free entertainment throughout the event, including performances from the Lima Youth Orchestra, the Dulcimer Divas and others. The money raised from the home show helps the Optimist Club support programs that benefit local youth.
“The importance of this tradition is because it supports community activities, opportunities for today's youth. You know, we've the Safety City program, Lima Youth Orchestra, Little League Baseball, just to name the top big three, we support as a club. We support a lot of these types of programs. So, when you come to the Home Show, you're really supporting community activities for today's youth,” says Paul Downing, Lima Noon Optimist Club.
The Lima Noon Optimist Home Show will take place at the Allen County Fairgrounds. Admission is $2 for ages 12 and older.
