LIMA, OH (WLIO) - Car enthusiasts from all around the area gathered at the Allen County Fairgrounds. The Lima Swap Meet was held for their 40th year. The biggest race car, truck, auto parts, and high-performance swap meet in the state of Ohio. Vendors and buyers come from near and far to check out all the cars, parts, and memorabilia the people have to sell. This year, they added a new event, the Jeep Invasion, where lovers of the vehicle can show their cars off and win prizes in different categories. This meet has something for everyone.
"The old-school guys and gals that have been out here 30-40 years, they love it because they want to see stuff like this. They go on Marketplace and somebody's like, 'Is this available still?' and then you don't hear from them; they just ghost. Here, these are buyers. This isn't a home and garden show or a craft show. When they're out here, they're here to buy stuff, and they're looking for something to do," said Jacob Elrod, event coordinator.
The annual Lima Swap Meet is always the last Sunday in January and they hope to see you next year.
