LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) – Eagle Point Ministries is helping kick off summer with an event full of fun, food and healing.

On Saturday, May 31, the organization will host Party in the Pavilion at the Lima Amphitheater and Pangle Pavilion in downtown Lima. The event runs from 1 to 4 p.m. and is free and open to the public. Last year, Eagle Point Ministries held a similar event at Martin Luther King Jr. Park. This year, they’re expanding it to reach more children throughout Lima. Eagle Point Ministries hopes the event offers kids a sense of hope and direction.

“We want to see them prosper. We want to see them have a dream. We want to see them have some hope. And we want to see them have a vision for the future. And if they don't have that, the Bible says, My people are destroyed for lack of vision. And so our goal is to teach and train how to have a vision, how to believe in something, how to believe in something more than the NFL and the NBA and some of the other things that the kids are totally focused on,” said Steve Doyle of Eagle Point Ministries.
