LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) — Get your paddle arm ready, because the Lima Noon Optimist Club is hoping people bid big to support local youth programs.

The club is gearing up for its second annual Quarters for Kids Auction on Jan. 31. Items up for auction include designer purses, electronics, gift baskets and more. Organizers say the evening is designed to be fun for friends and family, or even a date night, with proceeds benefiting youth programs supported by the Lima Noon Optimist Club.

Quarters for Kids auction returns to Lima on Jan. 31

Organizers say the evening is designed to be fun for friends and family, or even a date night, with proceeds benefiting youth programs supported by the Lima Noon Optimist Club.

“We're going to have, of course, the auction items. We have some side auction items, dinner, some entertainment. We're going to have, have our human slot machine. We're going to have some horse races. So just a lot of entertainment that we're going to have that evening. It's going to be a great night. This is just a fundraiser for the Lima noon Optimist Club. If you've ever driven by safety city, if you set kids to safety city or anything, this is where all of these funds go, so it just gives back to the community right there,” says Cindy Nelson, Lima Noon Optimist Club.

The Quarters for Kids Auction will be held Saturday, Jan. 31, at the Lima American Legion Post, located at 711 S. Shore Drive. Doors open at 4 p.m. Tickets are $30 and include dinner and an auction paddle.

Tickets can be purchased by calling or texting 419-231-5952 or 419-230-9361, or by messaging the Lima Noon Optimist Club on Facebook.
