LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) – Rhodes State College is helping young students build up some STEAM toward a possible career path.

The Rhodesology Summer Camp offers students entering second through eleventh grade an opportunity to participate in hands-on learning focused on art, science, technology and engineering.

More than a dozen different camps are available, ranging from building and designing with Legos to learning DIY skills such as woodworking and soap making, to exploring artificial intelligence and how to use it responsibly.

More than a dozen different camps are available, ranging from building and designing with Legos to learning DIY skills such as woodworking and soap making, to exploring artificial intelligence and how to use it responsibly.

“And not just how to use it a little bit, but also maybe using it more ethically and responsibly, but also to see what's under the hood, so what's really underneath all of those layers of prompts and everything else, so that people have a better idea of basically what they're what they're querying or asking,” said Dr. David Haus, dean of Technology and Liberal Studies.

For those who couldn’t enroll in the summer camp, Rhodesology mini camps covering different STEAM topics are offered throughout the school year.
