LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) - A proposed deal to sell Ohio Eagle Distributing L.L.C. could result in a loss of 124 jobs at the company locations in West Chester near Cincinnati and 54 jobs at the company’s facility here in Lima.

On Monday, officials with Ohio Eagle Distributing filed a letter with Ohio's Office of Workforce Development to serve as a "WARN” notice. The letter says if the transaction closes, it will result in the termination of all the companies’ employees in early September. The notice also indicates future employment at the sites would be communicated by the buyer. While the letter to the state does not specify a buyer, a post on Ohio Eagle Distributing's Facebook page says a decision has been made to sell to Heidelberg Distributing. The post also says Heidelberg is committed to retaining as many team members as possible.
