ALLEN COUNTY, Ohio (WLIO) - More than 800 high school sophomores traveled to Apollo Career Center today to explore potential career paths.

Each of Apollo’s 11-member districts participated in the annual 4-1-1 Blast. This event provides high school sophomores the opportunity to explore two programs offered at Apollo and engage in hands-on labs, demos, and activities to determine if they are interested. With just two years of high school remaining, the 4-1-1 Blast could offer students a spark of inspiration.

Sophomores Discover Future Career Options at Apollo’s 4-1-1 Blast

This event provides high school sophomores the opportunity to explore two programs offered at Apollo.

"It's a great opportunity because when the students come to visit, sometimes they have in mind, 'Hey, this is what I want to do with my future,' but after they come and visit and they do activities and talk to the instructor and the students, you know, sometimes they find out that a different career path is better for them, so it does give them a great experience to visit today to figure out, you know, what they want to do with their future," said Jamie Buell, admissions coordinator and school counselor at Apollo Career Center.

The sophomores will use today’s information to help make their decisions for the initial enrollment day in mid-February.
