LIMA, OH (WLIO) - A fun new after-school activity for students and their families.
Unity Elementary hosted its first "Stuffed Animal Sleepover," treating students to a unique bedtime experience with their favorite plush companions. Students brought their stuffed animals and participated in a bedtime routine, which included washing their animals, brushing their teeth, enjoying snacks, and listening to a bedtime story to help them wind down.

Once they were ready, students tucked their stuffed animals into bed before heading home for the night. Staff will then stage fun antics with the stuffed animals and take photos to share with students when they return to pick up their friends the next day.
"Well, we just thought it would be great for them to understand, like, what a good bedtime routine is. So, we've got the school nurse here talking about what you can do before you go to bed. Then, we're grateful to Artspace/Lima for providing the bookmarks, and we've got the wall of gratitude because we just want them to realize, like, it's a great thing to think about—being grateful for things before you go to bed. Big and small things that we're grateful for. It's just a great attitude to have, so we're trying to instill that in them," said Maralee Sullivan, librarian at Unity Elementary School.
