LIMA, OH (WLIO) - The overnight snowfall left many area roads slick Sunday morning, as law enforcement and tow truck companies responded to numerous vehicles that slid off roadways.
The conditions also caused many local churches to cancel their services. However, some people took advantage of the fresh snow by sledding at Faurot Park. The park offers great hills for sledding, and one group of friends built a makeshift ramp to enhance the experience.
"I liked going down the ramp, being in the air, and getting recorded on the news," said Kynden Falke, who helped build the makeshift ramp.
"We came out here because we live somewhere else, and we don't get to see our dad as often. So we came with our grandparents and my dad to go sledding and have fun with him," said Oliver Hawk, who was out enjoying the weather.
Street crews will be out clearing the roads. If you’re driving, keep a safe distance to allow them to do their job and help keep everyone safe.
