One person was life-flighted, another taken by ambulance from a two-car crash in Putnam County in the late afternoon on Thursday.
The crash happened just before 6 p.m. at the intersection of County Road 5 and County Road I, northeast of Ottawa. Putnam County Sheriff Brian Siefker says Russel Lammers was southbound on Road 5 when a car driven by Christopher Marshall Jr., who was westbound on Road I, failed to yield to oncoming traffic. The force of the crash caused Marshall's Chevy Colorado to end up on its top. He was extricated from the vehicle and life-flighted from the scene with serious injuries. Lammers was taken by squad to St. Rita's Hospital.
The crash remains under investigation.
