LIMA, OHIO (WLIO) - Thousands of people took advantage of the great weather to check out the Johnny Appleseed Parks’ Apple Festival this weekend.

Apple Festivals brings a whole lot of fall fun to Lauer Historical Park

The Apple Festival is held every other year and has something for everyone

Fall was in the air at Lauer Historical Farm, and there was plenty to do to get people in the mood for the changing season. The Apple Festival is held every other year and has something for everyone. There were lots of activities for kids and fall-themed games to play. There are vendors and demonstrations for adults, and plenty of food trucks and live music to feed and entertain the whole family.

“It’s great to have families out here; it’s great to have different generations. You see grandparents out here with their grandkids. You see moms and dads. You see a lot of different age groups; that is really what the park district is about. We cater to everyone, and we want it to be accessible for everyone. I think having Apple Festival, the way that we do it and the way that we offer things, really encompasses that,” says Tyler Black, Ex. Dir. Johnny Appleseed Metro Park District.
