September is National Recovery Month and on Friday a group of different agencies were at the Vibe Coffee House to not only raise awareness of how they are helping people, but also celebrate those who have found a way to fight their addiction. Ohio has one of the highest averages in the country of people suffering from addiction issues and local agencies want people to know there is help out there.

"You go to one agency and find out that recovery's not, maybe that treatment program is not for you. Chances are they are going to know at least twelve others in the area that they can refer you to or hook you up with right away, get you that treatment on demand you know. When someone's ready, they're ready and I don't want them to be holding back doing all that research when they can just come into one of our agency partners that are here today and ask for that help and get it that day or within 24 hours," said Chelsea Rue, BrightView community outreach manager.

Chelsea Rue says if you are ready to head down that path to recovery, to go to agencies like BrightView, the Mental Health and Recovery Services Board, or one to find the program that will work for you.
