Lima City Schools are helping students and parents prepare for the upcoming school year with a party.
Partnering with local churches, organizations and business, the Lima City Schools put on their “Back to School Celebration” at Martin Luther King Jr. Park Tuesday afternoon. The event offered free school supplies, Spartan gear, and a variety of games and activities for students to enjoy. Parents were given the opportunity to speak with school officials about the upcoming school year and how to make sure their student is well prepared.
Thanks to its success, school officials say they plan to make this first time event a yearly tradition.
