PARIS, FRANCE (WLIO) - Trevor Bassitt’s Olympic dream continues as he makes it to the semifinals race on Wednesday. The Bluffton native had a time of 48.64 seconds in the Men’s 400m hurdles repechage race on Tuesday. Bassitt came in first in that race, after coming in 5th in the 2nd heat of the qualifying races on Monday with a time of 49.36 seconds. Bassitt will run on Wednesday at 1:35 p.m. (EST) on NBC Lima. He will need to finish 1st or 2nd in his heat or have one of the best times of the day to move on to the finals on Friday. 

Update: A community watch party has been planned for Wednesday, August 7, 2024, starting at 1 p.m. in the Bluffton High School gymnasium, located at 106 W College Ave, Bluffton, OH 45817
