LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) — Citizens National Bank is helping protect the community from theft and fraud.

The bank hosted a “Community Shred Day” on Friday, giving people a safe way to dispose of sensitive documents. Bank officials say items such as bank statements, checks and records containing personal information should never be thrown in the trash because they can be used for fraud. Shred Day is part of Community Banking Month, which highlights the role local banks play in serving their communities.
