LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) — The City of Lima is offering parents a way to keep their children active and entertained during the holiday break with a Winter Break Camp at the Lima Community Aquatic Park.

The camp will take place this week and next week and is open to children ages 4 to 13. Attendance is limited to 20 children per day, and registration is required.

Each day will include a variety of holiday-themed activities, entertainment, and swimming. City officials say the camp is possible because the Lima Community Aquatic Park was designed to operate year-round.

“When we built the facility, we feel that there's so many things that it can offer the community, not just a swimming pool. So again, this is one of those opportunities that we see coming about through the creative efforts of the team that's putting it all together. So when you take a look at what we had in the past and what we have now you know that's why we built the facility, is to help with quality of life opportunities for people in the Lima community,” says Ric Stolly, Deputy Public Works Director.

The Winter Break Camp will be held Dec. 23, 26, 29, and 30, as well as Jan. 2, at the Lima Community Aquatic Park. Camp hours are from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The cost is $25 per day for the first child and $15 per day for each additional child. Parents can register their child or children here.
