Well, it's the beginning of 2019. Have you kept your New Year's resolution so far or have you procrastinated in making them at all? If so, don't fear, as the Lima Family YMCA may have just what you need to succeed.

If you're looking to better your health this year, you can get a "sampler platter" whether you are a member or not. The Lima Family YMCA will be offering open-group classes. Instructors say that having a buddy or a group of people to workout with, holds you more accountable, which can lead you to accomplish your goals.

"Group exercise classes are great to get people to socialize a little bit as well as work out together so you build that social group with people who are a little less likely to not show up or feeling a little guilty or they can help motivate their friends to come so group exercises are a great way to start on your fitness goals," said Terri Averesch, Lima YMCA vice president.

The class sampler will be this Saturday, January 5th from 8:10 a.m. to noon with 30-minute classes. Take one or try all six. The sampler is free to YMCA and only $7 to non-members. You can find out more by calling 419-223-6045. They're also asking anyone attending to bring a non-perishable food item for the West Ohio Food Bank.
