May 7, 2024, Press Release from Crossroads Crisis Center: Crossroads Crisis Center would like to invite the community to come out for the 2024 Girl Can Cook Memorial Run. This race is being held in memory of Lima native, Amy Market Jorgensen, who lost her life due to domestic violence in May 2023. N&H Concession Food Truck will be present for the event, as well as a raffle of locally donated items, and a selfie station. This event will be family-friendly, and the community is welcome to come out and support the runners. If anyone is interested in signing up for the race, they can register at the link provided below or at the event and registration is currently $30 per person. All proceeds, above and beyond the cost of the race, will be donated to Crossroads Crisis Center to further services for survivors of domestic violence.
