Crop dusting pilot makes emergency landing near Rockford

A crop dusting pilot walks away after being forced to make an emergency landing near Rockford.

Troopers from the Wapakoneta Post of the State Patrol are investigating the forced landing in the vicinity of Erastus Durbin and Rockford West roads, just before 5 p.m. Thursday afternoon. The pilot, 61-year-old Robert Trump of Greenville, told troopers he encountered engine failure and lost power to his aircraft while spraying a nearby field.

He was not injured, and his plane, a 1979 Cessna A188B, sustained minimal damage.
