The Delphos Police Department release their calls for April 6th through April 12th. 

On 4-6-2025 officers were sent to the 600 block of N. Jefferson St, to investigate a residential alarm activation.

On 4-6-2025 an officer on patrol located a female, 40-year-old Elizabeth Hoersten, of Delphos, who had an active warrant out of Van Wert County. Hoersten was taken into custody and transported to the Van Wert County Jail.

On 4-6-2025 officers located a male, 47-year-old Adam Purdy, of Delphos, who had an active warrant for his arrest. Purdy was taken into custody and transported to jail without incident.

On 4-7-2025 officers spoke with employees at a business in the 1000 block of Elida Ave. They reported that a trailer, being pulled by a pickup truck, struck their building as the truck was turning to pull away from the building. The incident was captured on video and the information for the pickup truck was documented.

On 4-7-2025 officers spoke with a female in the 500 block of N. Main St, who reported that her mother, who lives next door, is harassing her.

On 4-8-2025 officers spoke with a female in the 400 block of Grant St, who reported that, upon returning to her residence, she found that someone had thrown a rock at her window, causing it to break.

On 4-8-2025 officers responded to the 200 block of Douglas St, for a Domestic Disturbance. Officers met with a male and female at the residence who were involved in an altercation. After investigating the incident officers found probable cause to arrest both for Domestic Violence. The male, 20-year-old Damon Gibson, and the female, 19-year-old Mercedes Wallace were transported to the Allen County Jail.

On 4-9-2025 officers were sent to the 1300 block of S. Bredeick St, for an unwanted guest on the property. A male was located and advised to stay off of the property and not return.

On 4-9-2025 officers were dispatched to the 24249 Lincoln Highway for an altercation. Officers arrived and were advised that the altercation was over and no police intervention was needed.

On 4-9-2025 officers responded to the 1400 block of S. Bredeick St, after a female reported that her male neighbor tried to enter her home. Officers spoke with the homeowners, and they requested that the male be criminally trespassed from their property.

On 4-9-2025 officers, along with Delphos Fire and Rescue, were dispatched to a two-car injury accident at the intersection of Spencerville Rd, and Hunt St. Two individuals in one vehicle were transported to the hospital with suspected minor injuries. One driver was issued a citation for an improper left turn.

On 4-9-2025 officers spoke with a female in the 1100 block of N. Main St, who reported that a male had violated a protection order that she has in place against him. Officers investigated the incident and found probable cause to arrest the male, 41-year-old Jason Brandenburg, of Lima, for Violation of a Protection Order. Brandenburg was taken into custody and transported to the Allen County Jail.

On 4-9-2025 an officer on patrol conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle after observing the driver commit a traffic offense. During the investigation of the stop officers found probable cause to arrest the driver, 41-year-old Jeremy Stemen, of Delphos, for OVI. Stemen was transported to the Van Wert County Jail.

On 4-10-2025 officers were asked to check the area of 1800 E. 5th St, for two suspicious males loitering around the area of businesses.

On 4-11-2025 a female came to the police department to report a disagreement that she had with her brother over possessions in a storage unit. The female stated that her brother was threatening to report the items as stolen. The female was advised that no theft was occurring and that this is a civil issue.

On 4-12-2025 an officer on patrol located a male, 33-year-old Dru Leach, of Delphos, who had an active warrant for his arrest out of the Lima Police Department. Leach was taken into custody and transported to the Allen County Jail.

On 4-12-2025 officers were sent to the 900 block of E. 2nd St, for a report of a dog in the complainants back yard. Officers arrived and located the dog who had jumped the fence to enter the yard. The owner could not be located, and the Allen County Dog Warden’s Office was contacted to pick the dog up.
