It was a busy day in downtown Lima as dozens of families participated in the Happy Who-li-day Festival. Throughout the day children and their families got the chance to take pictures with Santa, the Grinch, and elves. They also made ornaments, voted on the best gingerbread houses, made bracelets and much more.
There were over 20 downtown businesses that were involved in this year's downtown lima holiday festival. The sponsor of this event hopes it will not only spark the holiday spirit but bring families closer together.
“It’s just a day where we see the little ones come in and they’re excited, the families are spending time together,” said Jennifer Velasquez, Pointe of Joy owner. “They don’t need to spend money to do this. They just come down and enjoy what our community has to offer and all get in the spirit together.”
This festival has been hosted in downtown Lima for more than eight years.
