There are more employment opportunities with the City of Lima as the Public Works Department is looking to fill several positions.
Applications for construction and maintenance 1 are now available. The position is within the Public Works Department. Applicants must have a Class A CDL by date of hire. The jobs include the use of heavy machinery, snowplows, street maintenance, and other hands-on work.
"We're looking for people with skills in construction or maintenance, or both, because we get into catch basins and snow plowing and things of that sort, operating heavy machinery, so, and the people must have a CDL in order to do the work," explained Warner Roach, Deputy Public Works Director, Street Division.
The deadline for filing an application is Friday, November 8, 2019, and the civil service exam is Saturday, November 16th. Starting salary is just over $41,000.
