Lima Area Concert Band Flute Choir showcases "Flute Fantastique" performance

LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) - The Lima Area Concert Band's very own Flute Choir performed today.

At Trinity United Methodist Church, the Flute Choir performed their concert dubbed "Flute Fantastique", with a number of different genres, flutes, and educational lessons along the way.

This group was formed in the 1970s and has been performing annually since.

From the high notes by the piccolo, to the low pitches from the bass flute, every type of flute was there to represent their sound and add a harmony to the concert.

"So many people don't get to get to hear it, that's why the orchestra, and the band, are important. But we're playing classical, and we're playing some contemporary music, but it's fun, it's music you can listen to," says Lucinda Altstaetter, Director of the Lima Area Concert Band Flute Choir.

By having such a wide variety of music, the audience felt entertained for the entire performance.
