TRI-MORAINE AUDUBON SOCIETY: SHOREBIRDS & MORE
On Tues., Feb. 4 at 6:30 p.m. TRI-MORAINE AUDUBON SOCIETY will offer SHOREBIRDS & MORE at the OSU VISITOR CENTER (4240 Campus Dr., Lima, OH).
Brendan Shirkey is the Research Coordinator for Winous Point Marsh Conservancy and oversees many research projects involving flora and fauna of the Conservancy. Brendan will share with us what is going on with the Conservancy and birds you can look for there.

NATURE PALS: WE LOVE NATURE!
THE JOHNNY APPLESEED METROPOLITAN PARK DISTRICT will offer NATURE PALS: TRICKY TRACKS at the MCELROY ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION CENTER (2355 Ada Rd., Lima, OH).

This year let’s invite nature to be our Valentine! Children ages 3-5 along with their adult companion are invited to make nature Valentines and go on a heart hunt! When it comes to nature there is so much to love.

JOGGING WITH JOHNNY
On Mon., Feb. 10 at 5:00 p.m. THE JOHNNY APPLESEED METROPOLITAN PARK DISTRICT will offer JOGGING WITH JOHNNY at the OTTAWA METRO PARK (2632 Ada Rd., Lima, OH).
It’s “snow” much fun to get fit with a Johnny Appleseed accountabilibuddy! Join Naturalist Lindsey for a warm-up walk and a few laps around Ottawa Metro Park. All ages and abilities welcome in their fitness journey. Choose a pace that is comfortable for you. Dress for the weather and come out rain or shine! Meet at the Wyandot Shelter to sign in.

OWL PROWL
On Tues., Feb. 11 OR Wed., Feb. 12 at 6:00 p.m., THE JOHNNY APPLESEED METROPOLITAN PARK DISTRICT will offer OWL PROWL at KENDRICK WOODS (971 N Defiance Trail Spencerville, OH).
Get ready to embark on a nighttime adventure to look for these elusive birds of prey. Dress for cold weather and wear sturdy/mud resistant footwear.

GREAT BACKYARD BIRD COUNT
On Sat., Feb. 15 at 10:00 a.m., THE JOHNNY APPLESEED METROPOLITAN PARK DISTRICT will offer the GREAT BACKYARD BIRD COUNT at the MCELROY ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION CENTER ( 2355 Ada Rd., Lima, OH).
The Great Backyard Bird Count is a free, fun and easy event that engages bird watchers of all ages in counting birds to create a real-time snapshot of bird populations. Start with a brief presentation on bird ID and then you can relax and observe birds from the comfort of the indoors. If you’re up for it, we’ll take a hike and observe birds in the woods as well. Coffee, tea, and a limited of binoculars will be provided.
