Fire destroys Fryburg home

A kerosene heater is being blamed for a fire that destroyed a home in Fryburg earlier this evening.

This is all that's left of the home on Van Buren St.

Around six o'clock St. Johns firefighters got the call.

When they arrived, the home was already down.

The owner of the home was in the process of renovating it when the heater apparently caught some combustibles on fire.

A home across the street was also damaged by the intense heat from the fire.

The owner of the home, who was working inside when the fire broke out, was not hurt.

One firefighter was treated at the scene for smoke inhalation.
