Former Hardin probation officer accused of sex crimes

A former Hardin County probation officer and court bailiff is accused of sexually assaulting a child and three adults-- two of whom have developmental disabilities.

47 year old Donald Castle of Kenton was arrested by Hardin County sheriff's deputies last night following an investigation by the Ohio Attorney General's Office.  A grand jury indicted castle this week on seven counts of rape and two counts of gross sexual imposition.

Agents began investigating Castle last year after learning that the defendant allegedly raped an adult while the victim was unconscious.  The investigation led them to three other victims.    The AGs office says that evidence shows Castle targeted individuals who were vulnerable and unable to defend themselves.

The alleged crimes took place over a 19 year time span.  However, none of the victim's are associated with Castle's role as a probation officer.
