PUTNAM COUNTY, OH (WLIO) - Multiple fire departments battled a barn fire Monday afternoon just east of Fort Jennings.

Firefighters quickly put out the flames before they reached those buildings and safely evacuated all pigs as a lot of smoke entered their barn.
Just past 3 p.m., the Fort Jennings volunteer fire department responded to 19773 Road 20 in Putnam County, where they found flames shooting through the roof of a barn and approaching two adjacent buildings, one housing pigs.
Firefighters quickly put out the flames before they reached those buildings and safely evacuated all pigs as a lot of smoke entered their barn. The barn where the fire happened suffered a roof collapse, and no one was able to enter inside.
