Guiding Light celebrated the fourth anniversary of opening their doors Saturday afternoon.
Guiding Light has been helping women in the community by providing them a place to live, and both homes that Guiding Light offers were open for tours.  The anniversary also celebrated all of the women that the organization has helped in the last four years, like Jami Mallory.  Last year, she moved into one of the homes, and now she works with them after they turned her life around.
"It's very exciting; I just hit five months clean [from heroin], which is the longest I've ever been clean, so I'm excited about that, the house is a big support to me, I come here daily, they're a big support, they helped me just realize that I'm worth putting a little into," said Mallory, who is the Donations Coordinator for Guiding Light.
Guiding Light has also collaborated with Coins for Charity in a quarter auction that will be held April 2nd at the St. Marys VFW Post at 3 p.m.  If you bring in a needed item, you can get a bidding paddle for free.
