Voters in Hancock County will be voting on a 1.2 mill levy to help the agency on aging.
The renewal of a .6 mill levy and an additional .6 mill increase will generate about $2 million over a five year period.
50 North which serves Hancock County seniors has seen an increase in people coming to them for services and it’s anticipated as the population ages even more people will come to them for help.
It’s estimated that the levy would cost about $38 a year for someone who has a $100 thousand home in Hancock County.
